I have stayed here a few times a couple of years ago and I feel the place really needs some tlc now as it has gone downhill, in my opinion. I noticed there are more comments about how run down certain areas are so please take this on board. My carpet in my room was stained in quite alot of areas,the room didn't have a fresh and clean smell. Tired looking room It was a lovely evening so I decided to eat outside,however there was quite alot of litter around. I sat on a table which had empty glasses on and they were still there when I had finished my meal which was over an hour later. I stayed for 2 nights.The 2nd night I also sat outside and the litter was still there and my table hadn't been cleaned from the night before. I think a few of the staff need better training. The first night I had the steak and kidney pie.The meal wasn't great as well as the trifle desert. The 2nd night I had the burger,which was well presented and everything was nice about the burger apart from the meat burger itself,dry and grainy,cheap.However the fries were much better than the chips I had the night before. Cleanliness needs to be focused on alot and I feel gutted I now feel this way about this place as I used to once feel like I had a cosy little getaway for a few nights.

Stayed on a golf break with overnight stay, bed and breakfast with evening meal. Room was clean and in good condition. The food was excellent and all the staff were friendly and efficient.

We always have a very relaxing visit when staying here , from the friendly staff at check in to the great atmosphere. We had a lovely room overlooking the beautiful gardens/golf course. The room was spacious with a seating area large desk with a chair , well stocked tea/coffee tray with kettle etc. Surprised we had no bottled water which we normally get as an Elite Rewards Member. The room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The bathroom had plenty of fluffy towels and nice toiletries and plenty of hot water. We had a very restful sleep in the comfy beds with no noise apart from the birds at dawn. The Swimming Pool is always a welcome bonus and again the staff were very welcoming , we actually had the pool to ourselves all afternoon. We used the sauna and spa which are very relaxing. Breakfast is always a treat with a wide choice of cooked food ( delicious fried bread !!) and cereals , fresh fruit , pastries and delicious yogurts . The weather was lovely so we were able to sit outside with our coffee and enjoy the well cared for gardens. All in all a great stay and we will be back soon.

Great golf break Definitely value for money Staff we lovely, food excellent Enjoyed the terrace in the sunshine with a G&T Golf course was challenging, particularly the greens. We all enjoyed it.

We (10 of us in total) went to the 90’s themed night with DJ and 2 course meal. What a fantastic night!! Not too many were there but that didn’t matter because the food was beautiful (I had lamb), the DJ was fantastic - kept us dancing all night long and it was just a great, fun night. What we really liked, and most in our group commented on it, was the fact it was 2 courses (mains and sweet) as if you have 3 courses, often you feel bit full to dance! So compliments to the chef and DJ and the staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and courteous and we can’t wait to return to another music themed night! Thank you!
